AIR COLLABORATION

The Robotic Autonomy Platform for Tactical Operations and Reconnaissance (RAPTOR) provides an open system architecture modular edge-computing autonomy stack that enables autonomous air (or land or sea) vehicles to perform tasks autonomously or as tasked by human operators or other autonomous systems.

Benefits

Enhanced Autonomy

Improved Efficiency

Real-time Adaptability

Increased Situational Awareness

Complementary With Other Capabilities

RAPTOR empowers uncrewed systems with advanced autonomy, enabling them to perform search operations, target investigation, and follow specific targets without human supervision.

By using advanced ATR, tracking, and path planning capabilities, RAPTOR broadens mission scope, optimizes mission execution, and reduces the need for manual intervention, streamlining operations.

RAPTOR’s closed-loop operations facilitate dynamic adaptation in real-time environments, ensuring responsiveness and agility in achieving mission objectives.

RAPTOR enhances operator situational awareness beyond line of sight by providing timely alerts and comprehensive information through intuitive interfaces like the ATAK, enhancing decision-making capabilities.

RAPTOR’s intelligent, taskable autonomy capability is complementary with our image-based precision landing, image-based collision detection, non-GPS navigation and intelligent taskable autonomy, all of which run on our multi-vehicle autonomy platform.

How RAPTOR Works

RAPTOR combines advanced Automatic Target Recognition (ATR), tracking, path planning, and decision engines for autonomous mission execution. It detects and classifies a wide range of targets from people and vehicles, to buildings, radars, and weapon systems. Multi-tracking algorithms ensure geolocation and continuous surveillance of targets as they move through the environment. With advanced path planning algorithms, RAPTOR-equipped vehicles navigate complex environments, avoiding obstacles, and optimizing viewpoints to accomplish missions. Its decision engines translate operator intent into actionable missions, optimizing real-time performance through closed-loop operations. RAPTOR interfaces with operators via the Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK), enabling tasking and situational awareness through smart devices at the edge.

Validation Methods

RAPTOR’s reliability and efficacy has been tested through rigorous validation methods, including extensive field testing across various operational environments, advanced simulation techniques to assess capabilities, continuous refinement based on user feedback, and monitoring of key performance metrics to quantify its impact on mission success rates, efficiency gains, and overall operational effectiveness.
