Mr. Kunal G. Mehra, Chief Executive Officer, drives the company’s strategic direction and leads the executive team.
Since joining Scientific Systems, Mr. Mehra has led the successful effort to position the company as a leading provider of AI-powered mission autonomy for the warfighter. Mehra’s strategy has focused on proliferating Scientific Systems’ world-class Collaborative Mission Autonomy (CMA) software across all domains – from the seafloor to space. The software’s open and modular architecture integrates with a broad array of systems and is now a key component for advanced uncrewed missions in the maritime, air, and space domains. During Mehra’s tenure, the company’s revenue has increased 800% and its technologies have been selected for critical U.S. defense programs including the US Navy’s Tomahawk Cruise Missile. As the Pentagon has entrusted Scientific Systems with key initiatives to accelerate the adoption of Affordable Mass across the U.S. military, Mehra has focused on building a high-caliber team, quadrupling the staff, and opening a new headquarters.
Prior to Scientific Systems, Mr. Mehra was Vice President of Strategy and Market Development at Equitant Inc. (ACQ: IBM), a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider that managed over $50 billion of revenue on behalf of market leaders such as Microsoft, Cisco, Lucent, Hewlett Packard, and Visteon, among others. While spearheading Equitant’s Global Market Development and Strategy, Mr. Mehra helped increase revenues by 80% in the 18 months prior to IBM’s acquisition of the company.
Mehra holds a B.S. (Honors with Distinction) in Operations Research with Minors in Economics and International Affairs from Columbia University.
