Open Job Announcement: RF Signal Processing Engineer

Scientific Systems Company Inc. is looking to fill an RF (Radio Frequency) Signal Processing Engineer position in the Active Perception and Cognitive Learning group for projects relating to perceptual systems for unmanned vehicles. The position involves concept development, prototype implementation, and testing of novel RF sensing and communications solutions which support ongoing SSCI projects, as well as the possibility to seek out and contribute to new opportunities. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Location Woburn, MA
Duties
  • Develop RF signal processing algorithms
  • Implement algorithms for real-time operation
  • Support systems engineers in the integration of algorithms and real-time code
  • Work in a team to execute technical deliverables
  • Contribute technical materials for proposals, white papers and/or publications
  • Present technical results to internal and external customers
  • Participate in technical discussion for short term and long term technical plans
Required Skills/Experience
  • Background in RF propagation and signal processing
  • Experience implementing research into working prototype systems
  • Ability to prototype in languages such as Matlab or Python
  • Proficiency with C/C++
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired Skills/Experience
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink, Computer-aided Software Engineering (autocode), and collaborative software development tools desirable
  • Background in Autonomy, Robotics, or Cognitive Systems with technology focus in AI, Robotics, Machine Learning, and/or Autonomous Unmanned Systems
