Computer Vision Group Lead

SSCI seeks a strong candidate to join the Computer Vision Team. The Computer Vision Group Lead will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of technology roadmaps for the Computer Vision group, project plans and budgets, managing resource allocation among projects, contributing and overseeing proposal development activities, supervising regular project reviews and mentoring members of the group. The successful applicant will be expected to provide engineering leadership as well as contribute to analysis, design (algorithms) and prototype systems engineering, integration, and test of computer vision algorithms to support image exploitation.

The ideal candidate will exhibit drive, motivation, and initiative, and possess strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Specific qualifications include:

• MS with 7+ years or PhD with 5+ years experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Systems Engineering
• 5+ years of progressive leadership roles and demonstrated experience in prototype development and testing of computer vision algorithms
• Demonstrated technical contributions and publication history in computer vision
• Effective communications and proposal writing skills
• Experience with systems analysis/design, software engineering, and real-time systems prototyping (Matlab, OpenCV, C, C++, embedded systems)
• Strong work ethic and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for DoD Security Clearance required
